How do I assess Learner competencies in ApprenNet?

By tagging specific Exercises with competencies, you can track a Learner's progress over a series of Exercises. Tracking Learners' competency acquisition occurs at the Group level, not the individual Exercise level. To assess competencies, follow these steps:

  • Visit the relevant Group and select Group Report

You will then arrive at the Group Report which features several sections.

View Group Report

The top of the Group Report displays the average scores of individual Exercises. Scores from all Learner rubrics are compiled and adjusted to a 10-point scale. You can then see the average score of all Learner Submissions on each Exercise and see the average score of all Exercises. You can toggle this section to show Peer Scores or Instructor Scores.

The middle of the Group Report displays the average competency scores. This section breaks down the average Peer Review scores (on a scale from 1-10) based on each competency. It also includes a section of low performers so you can easily identify who may need remediation.

The final section of the Group Report shows box and whisker plots tracking the distribution of scores across Exercises. You can toggle this section to show Peer Scores or Instructor Scores.
