How does the Submission ranking algorithm work for pair voting during Peer Review in ApprenNet?
After each vote, the ranking of each of the Submissions is adjusted based on the ranking of the Submission it was compared with. For example, assume Submission A was compared with Submission B during a pair Peer Review. Also assume that Submission A is higher ranked than Submission B. If Submission B is voted on during the A to B pair, then that vote will weigh slightly more than if A was chosen over the lower ranked B. This algorithm is why it is possible for your Submission to be ranked higher than another Submission even though your Submission has fewer votes.
