How do I add a goal to a focus skill in my career development plan as an employee?
After selecting a focus skill, you can add a goal to the focus skill. Adding a goal to a focus skill enables you to plan and track your progress in mastering that focus skill as part of your career development plan. You can create a new goal directly from the Career Development Plan page. All newly created goals and changes you make to the goals in your Focus Skill Builder will be reflected in your Goals page and will be visible to your manager.
Note: You cannot associate focus skills with goals that have already been created in your Goals page.
Open Career Development Plan
In the My Career page, click the Career Plan link.
Note: You can also open the Career Development Plan by clicking the Career Plan link in the Global Navigation Menu.
View Focus Skill
Use the Focus Skill Builder to select a focus skill.
Set Focus Skill Goal
Click the Add Goal button.
Add New Goal
In the Focus Skill Goal form, enter a description of your goal . Enter a due date for the goal . Click the Create link . To exit the Focus Skill Goal form without saving, click the Cancel link .
To add an already-created goal from your Goals page, click the Add link . You can choose an active goal from the Active tab  or a completed goal from the Completed tab .
Close Goal Pane
You can add another goal  or close the Goal pane. To close the Goal pane, click the Close icon .
To edit your goal, click the goal description text . When you have completed the Focus Skill Goal, click the Complete link . To delete your goal, click the Delete icon .
View Completed Items
To view your completed goal, click the View All link.
Undo Goal Completion
To undo the goal completion, click the Mark Incomplete link . To hide the completed goal from the Focus Skill Builder, click the Hide link .
Note: All newly created goals and changes you make to the goals in your Focus Skill Builder will be reflected in your Goals page.
