The Desmos calculator tools can be made available to students during the assessment process. They can be activated by a district administrator or assessment facilitator in both formative and benchmark assessments. District administrators and assessment facilitators can manage Desmos calculator settings at the formative assessment and tracker levels.

**Notes: **

- The Desmos calculators are only available in districts that have a paid Desmos subscription.

## Enter Online Assessment

Direct your students to log into student.masteryconnect.com. Next, they will enter the test ID number [1] and their student ID number [2], which will open their assessment.

**Note:** Students may also be able to access the assessment in their student portal.

## View Student Assessment

Your students can now begin their assessment, where they can view the tools and accommodations toolbar [1]. You can expand the toolbar by clicking the **Expand Menu** icon [2]. The Desmos calculators and the default calculator will display at the bottom of the toolbar [3].

## Use Desmos Calculator

Students can use the Desmos calculators if they have been enabled for their assessment. To open a Desmos calculator, click the **Desmos** **Calculator** toolbar option [1]. One of three Desmos basic calculator options will be available: Scientific [2], Four Function [3], or Graphing [4]. If your district has a paid state calculator subscription, your state calculator will also be available here.

You can move a Desmos calculator by clicking the calculator header and dragging it to another area of the browser window [5]. Students can enter their math problems in the calculator input bar [6].
