Missing Email Notifications

1. Description

Use this script when everything up to email notification delivery is successful. That includes successful data acquisition, successful ETL, and successful rule processing.

Step 1: FIND STUCK SCHEDULE INSTANCES - CANCEL OR RE-ATTEMPT SENDING NOTIFICATION

DECLARE @District varchar(20)

SET @District = 'XX' ---Enter up to 20 characters of a district's name. for example: 'Lodi' or 'Cypress'

SELECT top 100 os.name,osi.ID as UpdateThisID, osi.END_TIME as EndTime, osi.STATUS, DESCRIPTION as StatusDesc

fROM OBSERVATION_SCHEDULE_INSTANCES osi

inner join OBSERVATION_SCHEDULES os on osi.OBSERVATION_SCHEDULE_ID = os.ID

inner join OBSRVTN_SCHED_INSTANCE_STATUS osis on osi.STATUS = osis.ID

where os.NAME like '%'+ @District +'%' and osi.status in(0,8)

order by osi.ID desc

Step 2: RUN THE UPDATE USING THE ID OF THE INSTANCE YOU WANT TO SEND.

MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE ENDDATE BEFORE YOU RUN THE UPDATE - YOU DON'T WANT TO RESEND AN EMAIL FROM THE PAST

UPDATE OBSERVATION_SCHEDULE_INSTANCES set STATUS = 5 where ID in (XX,

XX,

XX,

XX)

Doing these two steps will re-generate the missing email notifications within a half hour or so.
