How to Run a Trend Report

Updated Apr 20, 2021

Although the Certify(TM) Scorecard provides you with a current Data Certification Score (DCS), you may want to view changes in the DCS results over time and possibly compare school progress. The Trend Report in Certify provides a visual graph comparing up to five schools at a time, as well as a table of DCS results over the time period you specify.

To run a Trend Report:

From the main Certify menu, choose Reporting followed by Trend Report.

Select the Observation to report on such as “Student Data Validations – School.” Note: Trend Reports are for Validations only (Certify Alerts have no DCS.)

Select “School” as the User Variable for Trending.

Click Next to open the Trend Report Options page.

  • In the “Date Range” section, choose a time period over which to view the DCS changes. To specify a particular date range, choose Range and enter the start and end dates. Click Refresh. Note: The Trend Report works best if you limit to one school year.
  • In the “Runs to Include” section, select the schools you want to include in the report.

Click View Report or Download Report located at the bottom of the page. Note: If you download a report, unzip the zip file created and then view the Trend_Report.html file.

The report displays charts of the DCS over time for the most and least improved schools, as well as the those with the most and least violations. Up to five schools are shown on each.

The latter half of the report lists each school and their DCS results over time.
