Item banks such as the CASE Item Bank and the Navigate Item Bank contain various types of items. You can also create your own items of certain types. This article describes the most common item types. (Note: Some types have more than one name associated with them.)
Tip: If you are creating a classroom assessment, select the Item Type drop-down list to see all the items of that type. Click on any of them to see a sample item.

Click the tool, and then click on the number line to create the object. The example below shows how it looks after a student places a point on the number line.

Click and drag the statements in the list up or down to put them into the correct order.
Shading / Simple shading
Click each part in the figure to shade it in.
Short Text / Shorttext
Enter the mathematical answer in the space provided.
Complete the bar graph by clicking the name of each month and dragging each bar to represent the given data.
Sort List / Sortlist
Arrange the items in order by clicking and dragging them from the left to the right.
Token highlight / Tokenhighlight
Highlight the answer by hovering over and selecting the underlined text.
