Updated Apr 05, 2021

The College & Career Readiness standards are available in enCASE for creating CASE College Prep benchmark assessments. This article outlines the steps for manually creating CASE College Prep benchmark using the National College and Career Readiness standards. It also describes how to schedule these assessments, see reports on them, and extract the data.

Creating a CASE College Prep Assessment

  2. Click the Assessments drop-down menu [1], and select Benchmarks [2].

Click the Create New Assessment button.

On the Create Assessment page, click the Subject drop-down menu and select a subject that will be the first section of the test (e.g., Language Arts, Mathematics, Reading, Writing, Science, or Social Studies). (Do not choose College and Career Readiness.)

Click the Core drop-down menu and select any of the cores available in the "National" section, which begin with NT.

Click the Class drop-down menu and select College and Career Readiness.

Optionally, select the Standard drop-down menu and select an appropriate standard.

Click the Load Items button to find appropriate items.

Label the First Section and Add Items

Enter a title for the first section of the assessment, and add the appropriate items. Refer to Creating a Classroom (Item Bank) Assessment for details.

Adding a New Section of a Different Subject

Enter a title for the next section.

Search for New Items

Change the Subject and Core

Return to the top of the Create Assessment page.

From the Subject drop-down menu, select College and Career Readiness [1].

From the Core drop-down menu, select NT: College and Career Readiness (2020) [2].

Scheduling the Assessment

  1. Login as a TE21 Admin.
  2. Schedule the assessment to the appropriate district.
  3. The District Test Coordinator will see the assessment in the Make Approved Benchmarks Available to Schools section of the dashboard and assign it to schools.
  4. Once available to schools, School and District Test Coordinators will see the assessment in the Schedule Upcoming and Open Benchmark Testing to Classrooms section of the dashboard and assign it to classrooms.
  5. The assessment then appears in the Assessment Summary section of the dashboard for all users. It will also appear on student dashboards.

Reporting

Assessment Reports will be available immediately after at least one student takes the assessment.

Assessment Analytics will be available the following day.

Note: No scaling will be available on any report.
